More Guided Reading homework....Due Friday.

Its like Christmas in January!  Our class and Mrs.Hawkins 2/3 class has been given a box of guided reading material.  I started something up back in November, but due to a lack of resources, I was unable to keep it going like I intended.  Well, now that we have a  little more to work with, there is a new book coming home in the book bag today, along with a worksheet.  Please note that this worksheet is due this Friday.

Communicating Through Agendas

Well, it was inevitable...My eagerness to communicate with all parents daily has proven to be a very challenging task.  There is just too much to do in a day to be able to dedicate a solid, AND rushed, 30 minutes to agenda writing!  From now on, I will  write in them twice a week, and will most definitely aim to write more often if time permits.  Please continue to check them daily as I am not assigning any two specific day to agendas.  Thanks for your understanding in this matter.

Reminder

This Wednesday we will be having our regular spelling test, and the math homework on symmetry is due.

Welcome Back!

I would like to thank everyone for there very generous Christmas gifts.  A very unnecessary, but thoughtful and much appreciated act of kindness. As well, many families contributed to our Holiday party snack table. There were so many cupcakes and treats that for the first time ever, many were sent home....the children were stuffed!
We had such a good day.  The gift exchange went smoothly...all were overjoyed and grateful for their gifts and the Movie, Home Alone, was a big hit!
I would like to wish everyone all the best for 2011 - and extend a huge thank you for all that you do.  :)
