Next Week...

A few little details about next week..
Monday is our morning run. We will spend the day reviewing math concepts learned through the year. Term 2 report cards also go home on this day!
Tuesday we will clean out our desks.  Please bring a big bag with you to school on this day. If you have a large water gun you'd like to use on Wednesday, today is the day to bring it in..make sure it's labeled with your name.
Wednesday is our day trip to Topham park.  Please read the blog to find out all the necessary items you will need for this fun-filled day!
Thursday is our last day together.  Individual awards will be giving out by me to everyone in the morning.  During this time, we will also clean up the room and play games if time permits.
In the afternoon on this day we will have our school-wide assembly.  This will take place outside and excellence awards, panther and perfect attendance awards will be given out to those who achieve them.  There will be a few presentations as well, and then we will say our goodbyes.

Monday Morning Run

Upon arrrival at school on Monday morning, the whole school will be taking part in a run.  The run will last approximately 30minutes and will begin immidiately after attendance and announcements have been made.  Students are reminded to come to school prepared with proper walking and/or running shoes and a full bottle of water.  Its a good way to start off the day, and lets be reminded that it will be significantly cooler... Can't wait for that!

Homework and Spelling Reminder

Tomorrow marks the end of our spelling and book bag program.  All books are due back to school with the very last review.  Please ensure spelling homework is also completed (1 detailed sentence for each word).
There will be no more spelling lists provided.  Congratulations on working so hard on becoming better spellers this year!

End of Year Party

Next Wednesday, June 27th we will be celebrating the end of another school year.

Last year, we headed to Topham Park and it was a great success!
This year we are doing the same. At Topham park there is a splash pad that is great fun for all and a good way to keep cool on a hot summer day. We will depart from Clairlea sometime before 10am. We will have a picnic lunch, and head back to school in time for 3:15pm dismissal.

***Permission forms for this trip are not necessary as this will simply be classified as a walking trip. Forms of this kind were sent home and returned at the beginning of the year.***

On this day, children are asked to come to school prepared with the following:

- swimsuit (students should wear this to school)
- towel
- litterless lunch and snacks
- water bottle
- any outdoor toys they’d like to play with

IMPORTANT
On Tuesday, June 26th, students are invited to bring in their water toys (e.g, water guns). Often these items are too big to carry a distance so the toys will be brought to the park by car the following day. Parents are asked to ensure that names are clearly labeled with permanent ink so that it can be redistributed at the end of the day on Wednesday.
